Go Girls! Changemakers

Rising 5th & 6th grade girls and gender non-conforming tweens.

As our Go Girls! get older, they need a space of their very own to connect, create, and grow.  Tween-age Go Girls! work together to produce, direct, edit, and star in their own media production. Go Girls! Productions gives tween girls the skills and tools to make and critique media in the new digital media era that is driven by their voice and creativity.  Whether it’s a short film, a music video, a social action campaign, pop-up art installation, or a TED-talk styled monologue - these campers will amplify their voices and build creative endurance to share what’s important to them, their peers, and their community.

Based in the Go Girls! Camp Methodology and adapted to meet the specific needs of tween girls, Go Girls! Changemakers gives girls and gender expansive youth the skills and tools to make movies in the new digital media era.  Working in small, collaborative groups, this camp gives older Go Girls! the opportunity to:

  • Make Media – Learning the skills of production from talented and experienced teaching artists

  • Think Critically – Age appropriate media literacy lessons will help tween Go Girls! be able to see and talk about the media they consume in new and powerful ways
